THE DEAL VERSUS THE PEOPLE

October 2015 // Bradford City Council Chambers

We are hugely passionate about CommonWealth's work and got to know them when Sharon was assisting on PR for their show Our Glass House at the Edinburgh Fringe in 2013.

The Deal Versus the People featured a cast of people from Bradford not normally represented in politics. The play was about power, how much we have, how much we want, how we’ve given away and how much has been taken away.

CommonWealth went on to stage We're Still Here, a site-specific spectacle on the resistance of local steelworkers in Port Talbot, Wales who rose up to save their jobs. Co-produced with the National Theatre Wales, We're Still Here took place in September 2017 in Port Talbot's Byass Works.
